§ 25-79. Authority to remedy fire safety code violations.

(a)

An inspector possesses the authority to protect property and persons whenever there is found violations of the fire and life safety codes.

(b)

An order under this part shall be served on the occupant or person in charge of the premises or by affixing the order on the entrance door to the premises. Whenever it is necessary to serve the record owner of the premises with the order, and such owner is not available personally, then the inspector shall mail the order by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the owner's last known address. Such mailing shall be supplemental to posting the order on the entrance door to the premises.
